Introducing our new Foundational level

In a world of fitness cliques, cults, and #cleaneating, it’s easy to feel left out or intimidated – especially when you’re new to exercise.

 

At Mvmnt, we approach things a little differently.

 

We’re passionate about making beginners feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Because movement – and Mvmnt – are truly for everyone.

 

That’s why we created our brand-new Foundational level.

 

Our Foundational workouts sit just below our Beginner sessions, offering the perfect place for first-time movers or those returning to exercise to build confidence, master the basics, and enjoy getting active.

We’ve got classes across bodyweight and dumbbell strength, HIIT, mobility, Pilates, and yoga. These Foundational sessions are low-impact, feature short work periods, and offer generous recoveries.

Here’s why we’re so excited about this new addition to the app.

Ease yourself in

Starting a fitness routine or getting back into one after a break can be exciting, but it can also be challenging – both physically and mentally. 

If you feel overwhelmed from the get-go, you may be tempted to throw in the towel before you’ve really had the chance to give it a fair shot. 

This is where our Foundational level steps in. 

We’ve designed these sessions to ease you into movement gently, so you’re less likely to feel frustrated, burn out, and give up. 

As you start to notice your progress – whether it’s climbing the stairs without getting out of breath or sitting in a squat a little easier – you’ll gain more confidence. 

You’ll see that your body is strong and capable, and you’ll feel motivated to keep moving forward.

Learn the basics 

Starting with our Foundational level also means you’ll have the opportunity to focus on learning proper technique and form. 

By grasping the basics, you’ll get more out of your workouts, prevent injury, and better understand how your body works.

In the beginning, form is crucial. Our Foundational workouts take you through each movement step-by-step, teaching you how to perform them correctly. 

Build foundational strength

If you’re new to exercise or returning to a fitness routine, simple activities like lunges or sit-ups can feel uncomfortable and awkward. That’s completely normal! 

Easing yourself in with our Foundational workouts helps you build the strength, endurance, and mobility needed for more complex moves later on. 

Think of it as establishing your fitness foundation – one that you can add to as you get stronger and more confident.

Move at your own pace 

At Mvmnt, we’re committed to creating an environment where everyone listens to their bodies, moves at their own pace, and feels encouraged, no matter their starting point. 

In our Foundational sessions, we take this commitment one step further. We meet you where you are and keep the pressure off. 

It’s not a race or a competition. It’s all about you – your body, your progress, your goals. 

Whether you’re an absolute beginner, need more support, or returning to exercise after a break, our new Foundational level has you covered.
